Thy Kingdom Come Thy Will be done
How to know your God
So many get bogged down with other people’s experiences and words in the Bible. But God said the best thing you will ever need is to know Him — and then everything else falls into place!
So keep life simple. Christ came for a reason — not just to die, as many fall into the trap of thinking — but also to give you wisdom, healing, and clear guidance on what is expected of you. His words truly will set you free.
Focus on Jesus’ teachings; in most Bibles, His words are highlighted in red. With modern online Bibles — like the link shared in the blog — you can search for them easily. Get to know them well.
First thing in the morning, give your day to God so He can bless you. Lay your concerns before Him; ask for guidance, or for forgiveness if you have done wrong. Open your heart to Him, and wait in silence — as God speaks to you. You will know when He does: it will be an understanding that does not come from you.
God may not give you the answer straight away, perhaps because you are not yet ready for it. Simply set aside time to be silent with your Father, and let Him speak.
Remember: this is a relationship, not a formal ritual. So talk to Him whenever you want. Say thank you when things go well; and when they do not, hold fast and trust anyway. That is the kind of strong faith God is proud of, and takes seriously — because this is the true way to know Him. :
